
Edward W. Cowling is director of the agency’s Washington, DC office. His background combines extensive legal, government, political and event management experience. He has held legal and management positions at the Federal Communications Commission, U.S. Department of Commerce and U.S. Department of Justice, has been a senior staff member of the Republican National Committee, and has been a campaign staff member in seven presidential campaigns.
Ed’s event experience includes five years of show and exhibit production in the auto industry, coordinating events for five presidential inaugurals, and serving as a presidential advance representative for numerous foreign and domestic events. In 1992, Ed served as director of the San Antonio Summit, a major international summit hosted by the President of the United States and attended by the heads of state or government of seven foreign nations. Ed’s education includes a law degree and a master’s in business administration.
While with Gordon C. James Public Relations, Ed has coordinated events for numerous corporate and government agency clients including the U.S. Department of the Interior, the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, and the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development. Additionally, he has managed our White House Easter Egg Roll contract with the White House and the National Park Service for the past eight years.
