Smiles will dot the faces of dozens of ailing children thanks to a generous $40,000 donation by Arizona Carl’s Jr. restaurants to the Phoenix Children’s Hospital. The donation was part of the Miracle Marathon radiothon sponsored by KMLE Country 108 and marks the hospitals 25th anniversary. Carl’s Jr. provided all the food during the 40-hour event. Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon (pictured to the far left) presented the check to the Phoenix Children’s Hospital on behalf of Carl’s Jr. The Arizona restaurateur’s locations have been raising funds since the beginning of August by selling $1 Stars.
