Amelia Smith

Public Relations Specialist

Amelia Smith is a strategic communicator whose intentionality, curiosity, and relationship-building skills shape purposeful, collaborative work. She merges creative vision with data-driven strategy to help clients build stronger brands and lasting connections. 

 

At GCJPR, Amelia applies her communication skills across a diverse client portfolio. She leads public relations efforts for nonprofits and healthcare organizations such as M.I.K.I.D., St. Vincent de Paul, The Meadows, and the Arizona Hospital and Healthcare Association. Her creative expertise extends to social media strategy and content design for the Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame Society, as well as Shea Homes Arizona and Hearts for Dementia. She also contributes strategic messaging for a political action committee and C4 advocating for education reform in the Tolleson Union High School District.

Amelia previously worked in social media for Freeport-McMoRan. There she helped elevate the company’s brand presence and achieve talent acquisition goals through storytelling campaigns focused on ESG initiatives, workforce programs, industry recognition, and the essential role of copper.

An honors graduate of Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, Amelia is currently pursuing her MBA from Grand Canyon University. She holds certifications in marketing through Canva and Hootsuite, and leadership and business strategy through Leadership Edge Live.
